An Agro-Industrial Company Going Green

In December 2015, SPIREA has completed a new dena-RES-Project at the Talar diary farm in Maldonado, Uruguay. A grid-connected, ground-mounted solar photovoltaic system of 5,200 Wp DC capacity was installed at the farm.

The system deploys state-of-the-art solar technologies, generates clean electricity for the farm and helps Talar reducing its carbon footprint. The system was officially inaugurated on the 15.12.2015 with participation of high-ranking guests from industry and policy making.

In cooperation with the project partners, SPIREA will hold a series of seminars and networking events in Montevideo, to elaborate benefits and potential of solar energy in Uruguay, as well as demonstrate cutting-edge German solar technologies.

The dena RES Project Uruguay is part of the worldwide dena Renewable Energy Solutions Programme coordinated by Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – the German Energy Agency – and cofinanced by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) within the „renewables – Made in Germany“ initiative.
